REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPOSED BUYER'S DEPOSIT INSURANCE

Requirements for Buyer's Deposit Insurance listed above A through E

Buyer's Deposit Insurance would have a provision for a criminal background check. Also a D & B (Dunn and Bradstreet credit history) or a personal credit history. (background investigations are necessary for determining risk for insurance carrier, also background investigations will deter incompetent businesspeople.)

The cost analysis for Buyer's Deposit Insurance per policy can be fairly determined for each shop-at-home company by a criminal background check and credit history, as well as the information disclosed on the back of their shop-at-home contract. This information will bring clarity in determining the exposure and risk and cost for each individual company by the insurance carrier.

…..INSURANCE FRAUD HAS SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES….

Buyer's Deposit Insurance adds additional penalties under the law for prosecution of businesses who fraudulently misrepresent information on the back of their contract in influencing a consumer's decision to purchase.

This insurance protects the reputation of other licensed and approved companies and local licensing municipalities as in the event that a few foolish or stupid shop-at-home companies would intentionally falsify information to fraudulently take deposit money and disappear, and not start the job.

Proposed Buyer's Deposit Insurance policies will give CONSUMERS a clear defining line between the licensed and legitimate home improvement contractor, and all shop-at-home companies and the unlicensed businesspeople that are here today and gone tomorrow.

"PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY"
Buyer's Deposit Insurance Demands Consumer Accountability

Shop-at-home companies that qualify for this insurance policy gives the CONSUMER a clear choice to choose either a licensed or unlicensed home improvement contractor. Consumers who are defrauded out of their deposit money would then be responsible for their own irresponsibility.

BUYER'S DEPOSIT INSURANCE PLUS DISCLOSURE/TRANSPARENCY WILL INSURE CONSUMER ACCOUNTABILITY AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY WHEN SIGNING A CONTRACT
